Currently having the kitchen gutted & refitted. Plumber has fitted plastic water feed pipe for washing machine. Looks like this is going behind where the electric oven is going. Is this OK? He has also chiselled some of the plaster away to bend it around a gas pipe that goes to upstairs boiler. This plastic water pipe us now behind gas pipe but feels like it is resting against it. Does this sound alright? Any comments welcome.

No
Its always best practise to have the feed accessible at all times without having to move the washing machine..

Better to have it behind a cupboard with an access hole so you can get to it or in the sink unit

Thank you for your reply. Water stop cock has been situated inside one of the kitchen units. Its just the plastic water feed pipe to the washing machine that I am concerned about. As this is going directly behind electric oven, I thought it should go under the units. Also the water feed pipe has been bent behind a gas pipe and is pushing against it. All the other plumbers work looks fine but this looks wrong, please advise. Another question is do you know why he has used plastic pipe instead of copper? Will try to upload photos to explain better.

Nothing wrong with plastic persay.

Just sounds like a bit of a sloppy job; perhaps he ran out of time, space or inclination?

Without pictures it is hard to say.
