Over the last few months i've heard a loud cracking noise in the middle of the night every few weeks. Today I noticed a couple of tiles were cracked down the middle.
My kitchen is tiled above the worktop areas. The property is ten years old.
What could be causing this to happen? The snagging would have completed ages ago.
I've also noticed a tiny gap in one corner of the tiling where the grout has cracked.
I'm guessing that the walls are expanding and contracting through heat cycling, or could this be more sinister?
The property is a middle-floor flat in a small block.
