I want to knock a door thru from my kitchen to adjoinging garage. Good builders are either difficlut to find, booked up or too expensive. which leads me to think about doing it myself. I've a vague idea of what would be involved but need some pointers.

Any general advice appreciated.

Before you do anything, pop down to your local planning regarding building regulation for advice as they have strict rule, example the floor level have to be 100mm below the kitchen floor level (to do with petrol spillage)and fire door have to open the correct way etc. Failing to do this you could find your household insurance invalid.

If you need to find a tradesperson to get your job done, please try our local search below, or if you are doing it yourself you can find suppliers local to you.

Select the supplier or trade you require, enter your location to begin your search.
