I'm going to use a laminate tile effect board called Floormaster Tileloc from B&Q in my kitchen.

I read elsewhere that near sinks etc. you should also glue the edges of the boards as well as having the built-in locking that the boards provide.

So I rang Floormaster and they instead advised using "Lock guard" (he thought that was the name) which it seems is a sealant type compound rather than glue, to seal the edges/locking areas, as extra protection.

Has anyone done this? Where did you get it from?

IMO the reason for this is to stop any likely water spillage from ingressing or soaking further into the joints than it can normally take moisture wise.

I used this in a previous house and didn't do it.All I did was to run a sealent(waterproof)along the edge of board that ran under the units.

Please be aware that might not have been the correct action though.I'm sure somebody will offer better advise.
