Hello All,

Does anyone have any experience of this timer!?

I am struggling with getting the settings correct, I have it set to come on around 6am, however it came on this morning around 3am!?

Ignore the 3 and 4 positions, I just moved those around.

It is very old circa 1980. However, it does look to be correct, provided that you took the photo at 11:00am :)

If you turn the dial manually, does the programmer switch 'on' and 'off' as the little tappets pass the time arrow?

The most common cause of heating coming 'on' when not expected especially during a cold snap, is the presence of a frost thermostat somewhere. They are designed to override the time controls and turn the heating on when there is a risk of pipes or the boiler freezing. They are not always fitted, but generally present where there are exposed pipes or the boiler is located in a garage or out building for example.

Hi, no I took the photo at about 730am!! What am i doing wrong!?

The current time is indicated by the arrow.

So as you can see the current time is 11am. Turn the dial until the arrow is pointing at the current time.

Ah, so the time arrow corresponds to the time you set things up, ie If i do it now, I turn it so the arrow points at 12:15 !? Thanks !
