Hi all.

We suffer with high humidity in our house and after recommendations we have had a PIV unit fitted. The problem we have is there is no ventilation in our lift meaning at the moment our humidity in the loft is around 80%. I’m looking to install lap vents in the loft to hopefully help with this issue. Our house is detached my question is do I put lap vents on all 4 sides of the roof? At first I was thinking just at the front and back where they will see most of the wind. Would putting them on all 4 sides effect the flow through the loft?

You could try them in just two planes and then see how things fare. Or just fit them in all roof planes, just as you would with eaves vents.

I would put some all around. I have a gable roof and an end of terrace and fitted on both sides.
