175mm, should that not be 185mm?

if it helps i got a price a couple of months ago for some 185mm 4 core XLPE SWA bs5467 which was £41 per metre i recall.

sure you can get it cheaper though, ring your supplier!

If you had trouble stating the cable size you needed and don't know where to look pricewise are you sure you are competant to fit this cable?

I said around 175mm, Im trying to remember what was used last, I know it was around 150mm

Would you care to enlighten me where in my post I said, Im going to fit this cable. All I said was I was struggling to do Squared sign, and thats not due to a lack of IT knowledge, more a lack of time to find what the bbcode is for ^2 - I'll laugh my head off if that works!

Competant to fit it? Yeah probably.. I could fit the gland and hold a hydraulic crimp tool! and bolt the lugs up, that would be about it though, as for calculate the right cable size I'll leave that to my electrical design consultants, I think the main concern should be pulling or dropping this cable down the riser and bending it. :D

Cheers Industry spark.. I was expecting around double that at a minimum, Ill give falcon a call tomorrow but I suspect it might be a bit big for them, Ill try edmunsons too.

Its more so I can get some budgetary pricing, no point getting a contractor to do an exact quote if it isnt getting signed off, I also want to check pricing so I know whether the quote is taking the proverbial as this is likely to be around £200k of work and £50k here or there will be the difference between a yes or a no.

All I want to do is make sure when it comes to choosing a supplier I have happy that they have our best interests in order, and arent going to take the proverbial..

Moderator:

I wasnt asking for specific pricing for a service, I was asking for ballpark pricing / figure.

PS it's ALT 0178

Hold down the ALT key with finger of left hand.

While holding down ALT, type 0178 on numerical pad on r/h/s with finger of right hand.

Release, et voila!! ²
