Hello,

I've purchased the a house next door to mine and have put in 3 tons of soil and put grass seeds, each time we cut the grass it impossible as the cutter gets clogged up, the same machine on my lawn works perfectly fine. I've noticed that the ground it always wet and moist, I don't see flooding or puddles when it rains so not really sure how to correct this issue.

Any thoughts or suggestion would be appreciated

perhaps the soil you added contained clay?

A top dressing of coarse grit will drain better. You can mix it with sifted compost if you want, but the worms will gradually mix it in for you, especially if you let grass cuttings fly in dry weather

apply in dry weather when the grass is short and bristly so it will poke through, not flop down.
