Laying engineered herringbone on chipboard

Hi I have chipboard floor and am wanting to lay engineered T&G herringbone flooring I have a very good flexible glue to stick the floor down with. The house is timber floor downstairs do I need to prime or DPM the chipboard before laying and glueing the floor down?
