laying pipework

I am about to lay new pipe work from my new boiler outside my house.
With regards the 22mm feed to and from and to the boiler, I am lagging it with 28mm insulation before laying it under ground.

Question 1 is: How deep into the ground should i lay it.

Secondly I am digging up my concrete floor where the 22mm pipe will be entering and leaving the house to the boiler.

Question 2 is: How deep should I dig up the concrete to lay this pipe.

Thirdly I am installing a new radiator which will be fed of this 22mm feed to and from the boiler. I am assuming that because this pipe will be inside the house that it does not need insulated. Is this a wise assumption.

Question 3: How deep under the concrete floor should i lay the 15mm feed to the new radiator.

:idea: Dia Dhuit! Why u break up the nice floor? Can u not chisel out channel in wall (with angle grinder or something and run it round behind the skirting boards? Might save you digging up nice floor again in the future if you were to have a leaky joint??????? :LOL:
 
with the existing layout and the way i intend to go the only way is to have a section of pipe under the concrete floor.

With this in mind how deep should i dig up the concrete for:

A) the 28mm insulated 22mm pipe running from the boiler and

B) the 15mm pipe running to the new rad.

if you are laying copper underground then it should be well lagged and about 12" deep preferrebly in accessible duct. You should also fit a pipe thermostat to protect from freezing.

Pipework inside should have a minimum of 1" cover after lagging

What about if I am using PVC pipe rather than copper, do i still need to lag the 15mm pipe to the radiator and do i still need a minimum 1" clearance.
 
I would lag any type of pipe for protection and yes 1" would prevent cracking through heat loss
 
The boiler thats not inside will have to frost protected. I did this sort of pipe run to a garage 3 weeks before Christmas. used thick wall 22mm lagging.put a length of 6" guttering under the pipe lagging. then fiilled around & underneath with expanding foam. Then fitted another piece of guttering over the top . they left the heating on all night cos the trench was open & there was frost all over the guttering nxt morning. not much heat loss there. Also used Fernox Anti-freeze inhibiter.we also put the run 20" down to avoid the cold.

Are your recommendations based on the Water Regulations?
