Hi, a couple of questions if I may , my friends.
In the process of refurbing my garden office, I am thinking about floor maintenance. The builders 5 years ago, laid 18 mm think plywood sheets and there was underlay and then laminate on top of that. I have chucked the old laminate and underlay as wasnt happy with them, and now we want to lay carpet tiles instead.
The current plywood floor (18 mm thick) is fine, but instead of laminate, could i put a thinner plywood sheet on top of the current one, so to smoothen the floor and iron out any surface bumps / irregularities caused by the 18 mm plywood sheets. I was thinking of putting a 5 mm hardwood plywood sheet on top, like at the link below.
can i paint on top of it with ronseal wood protector? to be on safe side. link below
Thanks in advance
