Lead flashing under window sill - causing condensation

I'm in the process of insulating the huge upstairs bay windows in our 1930s house. Lead flashing breaches interior side under window sill and is producing condensation where it meets warm air inside. I cannot see a way of cutting it back easily so need some ideas on how to prevent the condensation issue....would welcome any ideas, thanks.
