I have a flat in a Victorian property with original lead flashing on the window sills at the back of the house (the sill is wood, but with lead covering the wood).
Someone has been paid to repair/rub down/repaint the windows, and they've removed the lead. Is this normal? I'm a bit disappointed to lose an original feature. I'd like the guy doing this to replace the lead, surely it provides more protection to the underlying wood as well??
