Leak from extractor - who to call to fix?

Hi,

Just looking for some direction.

We have had a leak down our extractor pipe and out into the bathroom via the extractor fan (which no longer works for obvious reasons) for a while… we have called numerous roofers to come out and have a look and they make all the right noises as if they want to help but then never get back to us and just ignore us. There is no water in the attic, it literally just comes down the silver ventilation pipe.

Should we be contacting a different tradesman? Or are we just dealing with unwilling people? I completely get it is probably a tiny job but nonetheless we would like it fixed. The ceiling around the extractor now needs replacing as a result of this going on so long and I’m at my wits end as I’m 9 months pregnant and I cannot go another winter with this leak with a newborn baby.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Consider a plumber or electrician, especially if it will trip the electrics or is now defunct.

OP,
If possible could you get someone to take & post pics of the extractor terminal - the extraction duct ("the silver ventilation pipe") in the roof space and the bathroom ceiling?
