my system has been loosing pressure and today behind the tv i have found a tide mark on a wall, this is right above some skirting board, yet there are no pipes near.

My feeling is the water must be leaking from a a pipe above and then sitting at the bottom and has been absorbed in to the brick/plasterwork, i simply cannot get access to the pipework without removing plasterwork so will give some central heating leak sealer a go.

Could someone tell me how i go about adding this to a combi system as it obviously has no header tank and is this stuff good for stopping small leaks?

How effective is it?,is it just a short term solution, i think i know where the leak is, from seeing where the damp patch is, but the is no moisture on floor area, if i want to get to the pipes means removing plasterboard in the kitchen and i know it would be a long term solution but would pain me to do so

i know people that have used it but im not a fan off it.
if you ever use any cleaning chemicals in your system you may find you got a leak again.

think ill give it a go, and then see over a period of a week if the pressure doesnt drop on the boiler, if it does then will have to go to stage two, luckily the damp patch is behind the tv so not visable, assuming the leak stuff works how long should i expect for the bit of plaster to dry out?
