We have a risen shower tray and I noticed a small ceiling stain below. I ripped open pkastic fascia board to see and I believe it’s in front of shower tray where I have marked red.

I need to resilsicon and maybe fill in gaps. And even maybe add a second lip. Any tips to fix this

I'd imagine it will be leaking through where your shower screen attaches to the wall. Water will getting in behind it and the sealant at the bottom where it meets the tray will be compromised. A lot of showers seem to leak in this area.

Personally speaking (as a DIY'er) this is something I don't fully get with the direction to not apply sealant on the inside of a shower screen.

I received some good advice on this forum regarding one way to do this; seal around the base of the tray/wall and then before it dries push the screen trim into the sealant (pre-drilling the fixing holes) so that it seals around it. This is fine if it is just one trim piece being installed at a time.

Dependent on the design though this isn't always possible to do. If you seal the tray, let it set, then install the shower screen trim it will then distort and dislodge the sealant at the bottom. Thus, on certainly one occasion when self installing the only way I have managed to prevent this leak is from sealing the inside of the screen.

Short answer is I believe you will need to remove the shower screen and reinstall, and consider how best to seal so water cannot get through the gap at the bottom where screen meets tray.

Hard to see from the pics TBH.

The usual suspects are -

1) the silicon sealing in the tray, typically down behind the wall channel for the door or the join points between tray and tiles
2) the tile grout is starting to let by

that is usually down to the tray moving because the plinth hasn't been secured properly. Looking at yours it seems just to be sitting on batons with no top. If it was me I'd be taking off the door and the wall then seeing what's there. Have a good look underneath to see if it is obvious where the water is getting through, then it would be cutting out all the silicone along the whole side where it's leaking so it can all be redone properly, it should be quite apparent where the silicone has failed.
