Hi

Just a quick thought: have never used a leak sealer (the ones in a tube) - but has anyone ever done so? If say for example, you had a burst pipe or a pinholed rad, would you be able to use leak sealer externally, to stop the water - whilst then draining down and repairing without the panic and stress?? WOuld it buy you some time? Is it worth having a tube in the house handy?

I have myself used a leak sealer (wickes own brand) to seal a rusty radiator - was over 2 years ago - then i drained it down a few hours later and replaced it (this radiator though had manual vales at both ends and no thermostatic valves so was easier to drain)!!
