leaking drain valve

Good evening,

I have a little leak from the underside of a radiator drain valve. I think the water is coming from the drain bit. Is it possible that a screw is loose or is it more likely to be a worn out washer?
Also would i need to drain the system to repair either fault?

use an ajustable spanner and nip it up

Hi i had the same problem lately and had to shut off radiator at both ends then drain down radiator into tray. I then took out the drain valve and replaced the o ring with a new one and the leaking valve was solved, good luck!
