There is a leak on the gland nut on my stop cock.
I understand that I can possibly solve this by nipping up the gland nut first before backing it off and using PTFE tape.
Do I need to shut the water off in the street ?
The stop cock is closed and water is dripping so I assume it is leaking from the secondary side of the stop cock ?
Does any one have a cut away view of a typical domestic stop cock ?
