Leaking gutter

Hi all

With all the rain this morning I have noticed that the gutter between me and my neighbours lean-to is leaking, and I think at a join.

Rather then just silicone this, is it possible to add a piece of epdm over the join?

Its a shared gutter that sits on the party wall. Until we both decide and get it changed, I need to repair it.
