I am a right numpty when it comes to plumbing - so apologies first of all. I have a Mira 88 shower mixer which is leaking through the shower head. I have renewed the shower head and hose - but I still have a leak. I assume it is just a matter of renewing a washer - but how do I get in it to do this?

Buy a Mira repair kit for the mixer - about a tenner, and you can replace all the bits which will leak sooner or later, not difficult. You'll need quite a big spanner or pair of grips. The nut's a couple of inches across.
