Good Morning,

I have two radiators in my living room one of which is leaking.

I've checked for water on the valve but this is dry. Where it appears to be wet is the pipe coming up from the floor. It's saturated the carpet in the vicinity and the pipe is now rusting which is turning the carpet an orange colour.

I've tightened the valve however this doesn't appear to have resolved the leak.

Can anyone offer any guidance as to the possible cause / fix for this problem?

Many Thansk,

What is the pipe made of as copper would not rust, it is possible the water is orange from corrosion within the radiators. Have you felt around the valve nuts on horizontal and vertical tails.
They can become loose and weepy, if nipping them up does not resolve the issue, then you would need drain down and use some plumber mate on the compression of ptfe tape.
I assume these are not newly installed rads or valves?
