I'm planning on putting up a canopy 4m down the side of my house. It's 1.8m at the front coming back to 1.1 m at the end of the pathway.
It'll all hang from a 4x2 wall plate bolted to the side of the house and there'll be about 7 or 8 drops of 3x1 to fix the vistalux sheeting to. These 3x1 lengths will be angled at about 20 degrees or so but joist hangers are designed for perpendicular joists and have metal to support 90 degree joints, not those at an angle.
Question: What's the best way of joining the 3x1 angled drops to the 4x2 wall plate?
