Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum.

I have a fairly old 5x2 meter lean to on the side of my house, it's not a habitable area of the house no heating just electric.

Anyway, it has a polycarbonate roof on it that is on its last legs. I'm planning on doing a hybrid warm EPDM roof to keep the height at or below 2500mm. And I've found myself down a massive rabbit hole on the Internet with regards to vapour barriers, insulation etc etc. Just wondering, as it's a cold room due to not being heated, and being on an exterior wall and also only having single course walls (100mm) will insulating the roof actually be worth while?

Any thoughts on this will be greatly appreciated

It's worth replacing the roof to keep what is presumably a useful storage/utility area. If it is unheated there is not much point adding insulation.

It will be cooler in summer!

It will still be expensive to heat, unless you do the walls as well. Even then, with all that glass...
