I am looking to fit a warm flat roof deck as follows.
18mm osb3 above joists
Vapour control barrier
PIR insulation
18mm osb3 above pir with thermally broken fixings into joists
EPDM top layer.
The one thing I am going around in circles with is which foil backed PIR to use? Depending on which manufacturers website I look at the type of pir changes
The roof will not have any foot traffic to speak of.
If I read the regs correctly 100mm pir should be fine as far as insulation properties are concerned, it’s just the type of pir I don’t quite get.
