I want to put a layer of LECA on top of a cement floor but am struggling to find out how to mix it. The bag has no instructions beyond add cement and sand if required. I've looked on the internet for mixing ratios and found 8 LECA to 1 cement. (I assume this is by weight even though the LECA bag only has the volume on it).
I mixed up 1/2 kilo of cement to try and by the time I added 3/4 kilo of LECA I had just 3/4 kilo of little brown balls with a thin coating of cement round them - not enough to create a solid mass of anything.
Anyone know what I should really be doing?
