I'm currently working on retiling a laundry /bathroom area and have a couple of questions for the better educated on the subject.
1) I have one area, probably only 2mx1m with about 50mm of fall over the 2m length. I wish to bring this back to level. How would i go about this- self levelling latex, concrete or smash floor out and reconcrete or other? Note that the floor has old surface paint on it which may require removing?
2) Another section about 2m x 3m i am looking to take 10-15mm dips out of with self levelling mix. There is still old tile grout covering say 20% of the floor. Should i worry about removing this or take the lazy option of pouring the compound over the top of it?
