Hi,

I have a circuit box for the house where only the lever for the scokets keep tripping. When i reset this lever it sometimes stays on for 30mins, sometimes an hour or sometimes just 5 mins.

Any clue as to what the cause might be?

Do you mean the MCB just for that circuit trips, or the RCD for all the socket circuits trips?

Typical MCBs:

Typical RCDs:

Any will trip due to a faulty appliance or a fault in the/a circuit, but the nature of the fault would be different.

An MCB tripping could also be due to overload. If it is the MCB, what rating is it? (e.g. B32).

Can you tie the use of any particular appliance(s) to the tripping?

OR, it could be an RCBO, looking like an MCB, but having RCD protection built in.

What is written on the switch that trips?
