Light switch spark

I recently had to fit a new double light switch, with a light and extractor fan going into it. I noticed that when you operate the switch (mostly when turning it off) there is occasionally a blue flash, like a spark, behind the bottom of the light side. The extractor doesn't seem to do it. Don't know what is causing this, have checked all the connections and everything is fine. Like I say it is a brand new switch, not sure of the quality as someone else bought it.

Any help would be hugely appreciated, thanks.

What sort of load is this switching? A few halogen lights will make a spark as the contact is made and un-made.

Here's rather larger spark from a switch. A few more volts than yours mind you!!

There is just 4 halogen lights, it's quite hard to see and doesn't happen all the time.

Could be a cheap switch, can you see a make on the back of it?
I would replace it with a good make. Crabtree is very good. MK are not as good as they use to be, and personally I stay away from them.
