My Hoover washing machine recently broke down. The repair engineer cleaned the filter and the deposits of limecsale that were built up on it. This fixed the issue. The water now drains without any issues.

He suggested that I use a strong limescale remover every two months but couldn't offer any recommendations. I live in a hard water area.
Can I please have recommendations on which product I could use and presumably the dishwasher will benefit from it too?

Thanks in advance.

Filter needs an occasional clean even in soft water situations.

Dishwasher has a water softener built in (assuming you fill the salt container) so limescale build up is less / non-existent.

An occasional very hot wash is advisable on both machines to clear out the soap residues low temperature washing produces.
