Hi,

Just widnering if anyone could help identify this random line in the ceiling? It's running parallel with the joists (there are some boards up there with stuff on) and is under the area where the boards are. I wanted to check whether this is normal in a house (new build approx 2 and half years old) or if it is a weight from the boards issue that needs resolving?

It's probably 18 inches long, and about six inches away from a wall.

Thanks

Ceiling cracks in fact any cracks are quite normal in new builds as they appear as the building settles , it's why normally you are advised not to paint for a while due to this reason

Is this small crack the reason why you are stressing over your lightweight load in your loft?

Quarantine has allowed me to minutely inspect areas, probably a bad thing !
