lining paper an archway

Hi

Im applying lining paper and come across a tricky area around the archway. Im planning to paint over the lining paper so how do I paper the archway. Do I overlap slightly to get a neat edge or cut along the curve, but may be a bit messy?

overlap then line rest of room.then hold trimming knife flat to underside of revel to trim excess then line revel job finish
