lintel / rsj required ?

hi,

I have a single storey extension 6300 x 5900 with a flat felt roof.

The joists extend over the 5900 width , and cross a brick interior wall that extends for most of the length of the extension.

Some joists appear to be braced at the wall.

I want to remove the interior wall and was thinking it might need support along the 6300 length.

However , given there is just a felt roof to support , I'm guessing I don't need a huge steel support.

Are there other options ?

Replace the roof with a pitched truss roof.. or beef up the roof members to span the whole distance prob involve using some engineered timbers or cold rolled steels..
