After cleaning my daughter's trainers with whitener I found I had some on my black trousers I washed them before realising it was there. Any suggestions on how to remove this stain as I don't know what to try

Unfortunately no, I have tried scratching it off but it doesn't work. I wondered if there was anything I could put on it to dissolve it - something like paint remover, but don't want to spoil my trousers!!
Could try vodka I suppose although not sure how successful it would be
