Hi

I've had an estimate of roughly £800-£1000 for my living room to be plastered. Since chasing in the electrics we found the majority of plaster to be blown and looks like it will all come off (hence estimate as we've not stripped it all yet). The room is L 5.6m W 3.1m H 2.4m 1930's house with firelplace, 1 window, 1 door and one end wall is the archway through to the dining room.

The ceiling looks in good nick and only needs a skim.

Worst case if it did all go back to brickwork what should I expect to pay? (I know quotes vary around the country, but looking for a rough figure) and before anyone suggests it... we're not prepared to dot & dab it :)

Thanks
