My problem is that is that the previous occupants of the house have removed all the covers from the valves on either end of the radiators. Is there any way of determining which end is the LSV and which end switches the radiator on and off? ISome of the rads get much hotter than others and 'm finding it very difficuly to balance the system.

Thanks

In theory the flow pipes ( the ones that are the hotter of the 2) should have locksheild valves but I don't think it makes much difference.
