Hi,

I am installing a small bathroom with shower in my loft conversion.

The room has a small Velux window in it. do I need to fit an extractor fan & if I do, can I run the outlet duct upwards to to a roof tile with a vent in it? I am using the know defunct soil ppipe vent.

Sadly, Yes you do.

Most 100mm fans conform to the current Regs, and will be labeled as such.

Yes you can run it through the roof space, if you have access you can use kits for sofit board fitting. Less probs that way. If using old disused vent pipe, make sure it has a rain protecting cover fitted, electrics and water don't mix. :D
