I am looking to top up the insulation in my loft, currently about 75 % of the loft has about 75mm and the rest has none!.
I intend to bring every thing up to the top of the joists and then floor, leaving a gap of about 500mm at the eves.
My problem is that the rafters and the sarking are covered on a layer of mould. The mould brushes off. I assume that this has been caused in the main due to condensation?
Does anyone have any advice on how to treat the timer? Should i just leave it? Have been advised to use 'murosol 20' sprayed to the timber once brushed off.
Thanks for anyones help
