Hi, i only want to floor a 'path' in our attic down to the MEV air unit that we have for maintenance. Our attic is very low and cramped and engineers are reluctant (fair enough) to service our machine if there is no floor.
So, if i only want a path, can i put loft chipboard panels directly onto the joists without interfering with the insulation?

advice please.
thanks,
Gem

You should avoid 'squashing' the insulation down. But it looks like your insulation doesn't really stick up above the joists, so yes, you can board straight over.

You need a 170mm top up of your insulation ideally. Then use the Loftzone system to create a walkway over the insulation.

This would be strong enough to walk in and will protect the insulation without compromising its efficiency etc
