Oh boy, am I glad to find this forum!
I have a bungalow 1960's which has had a loft conversion done at some time, thing is although it was a nice job the insulation just about doesn't exist, there are small stud walls approx 4 foot high (just plasterboard over timber) no insulation, at a guess I think the conversion was done in the 70's.
What would be the best way to overcome this?
thanks
Jim

So no insulation in the roof at all? I'd be looking to take out all the plasterboards, and insulate fully using rigid boards, taking into account required ventilation gaps and vapour barrier etc. Replacing the plasterboard will be cheap, it's the insulation that'll cost ya!
