I've just had my loft insulated.
Previous to the installation I had loose fibre insulation which wasn't very deep at all - you could see the plasterboard of the ceiling below in some patches.
The loft installation company completed the installtion today and have run out rolls of insullation inbetween the roof joists. I was under tha impression that this would be done then a second layer laid at right angles across the joists. Is it necessary for this second layer to be completed if the layer between the joists is deep enough?
Thanks
