Hello
I am looking to create additional storage space and was wanting to board out my loft. Is there any way of telling if the existing loft beams are going to be suitable to hold any additional weight?
I live in a mid-terrace (not sure if this makes a difference) The loft is roughly 18'6" x 16'6", there is one support roughly in the centre. The current beams are roughly 30cm apart running from wall to wall.
There is currently lost insulation that has been down since before i purchased the house over 5 years ago so I have purchased Knauf Space Blanket Loft Insulation (T)150mm.
I have purchased four packs of Loft Panels (Pack of 3) (L)1220 x (W)325 x (T)18mm from B&Q, to create a small space.
Any advise would be great.
Many Thanks
