Loop in / Loop out downlights - where to connect switch?

Hi everyone!
I got two quick questions on these downlights I just bought from B&Q.
1. The wiring chart clearly shows to connect both end of the loop to the live source, but when searching online it seems all content only connect the first light to the source?
2. Assuming I follow the chart from B&Q - would I put the light switch only on the one end of the full loop, or would both sides be connected?

err all that's showing is the continuation of the circuit of which the switch controls... you could have up to 15 lights in the chain, its just showing the first two... read the text below.
