Losing water pressure from my combination boiler

My recently acquired two story flat came with a Glow worm 24ci combination boiler which keeps losing water pressure daily. Sometimes I cannot even get the pressure upto 0.5 bar. I called a boiler man who said that I should either replace the expansion vessel (recently recharged by him) or replace the whole boiler, which seems a bit drastic as it is only two years old. There are no apparent leaks on the system and the overflow pipe sometimes not always discharges water.

Can anyone help?

just answered your own question

Thanks for your reply. Not sure if I really understand. The boiler is still losing pressure but their is no discharge from the overflow pipe.

Could it mean that the expansion vessel is either not charged fully or faulty?
