Loud bang from Vedette Dishwasher - part identity

Hi, the Vedette dishwasher in our French place has just gone bang and I wonder if anyone can identitfy the broken part in the picture below please:

It's quite old but only had about 6 months use. I have tried Googling, but to no avail..

Never heard of Vendette
But the part looks like a mains supressor to me. You could bypass it to see if the machine works with the suppressor out of circuit. It is only an interference filter & your machine will function perfectly well without it (but your TV picture may suffer).
