Low Hot water Pressure mixer taps

Hello all
Please be nice!
Grav fed cold from roof Copper bolier same floor as shower. Lots of scale in water tank up in roof space (i could scoop it out!)
Bath Prob: Hot water flows good thru' the tap but when the plunger is pulled for shower very poor flow. Cold when added slowly just takes over the hot. Cue Marcopolo jumping around like a loon!
Have stripped and filled full of limscale remover but no joy.
Is there a way around this as the missus wants a powerful shower.

If cold is from mains, major rethink required.
If not and hose bore is small (less than 10mm) change the hose.
Otherwise, use a pump.

Blimey you have done the rounds on this site Chris.
I will have a look at the hoses when i get back up that way.
Any ideas on the limescale problems?
Do those coil gadgets work or is a softener the approach.
First home not much cash.
