Low Hot Water Pressure

Hi All,

I am brand new to this forum and to DIY

I recently changed the BAll Valve in the header tank as the old one was leaking and causing water to run out the overflow pipe. All has been well for the last 2 weeks but i woke up this morning to find the pressure on the hot water tap to be very low. The cold water is normal.

Any ideas on what could be wrong would be great.

The only connection I can think of with your work, could be that some dirt/insulation has dropped into the tank and blocked the pipe. (unless the tank is emptying because the fill rate is now too slow - hot runs out first)

Try connecting H & C washing machine taps together with one of the hoses to push mains back up the pipe, hopefully moving any blockage. (Remember to open both taps...)

Blockages stuck in pipes can be very hard to sort out. Hard cheese.
