This evening one of the push and fit joints (a straight joint) on one of our pipes that runs the hot water from the boiler to the hot water tank came loose.
Unsurprisingly, this led to a mountain of water pouring out until we got the stop cock off.
Prior to this, for about a week to 10 days, the hot water throughout the house was lukewarm / mildly warm, but never it's usual piping hot (apart from one day in this 10 day spell).
Is this (the water being lukewarm for 10 days followed by one of the joints bursting) linked? Or is the lukewarm water the sign of a deeper problem?
Got a plumber coming tomorrow to have a look and don't want to be fobbed off.
