Lurking behind a plasterboard wall.

Lots of info also on Ancestry.com Alarm, and the mormon website strangely has loads of records. Have traced ours back with my brother ..... you find all sorts of thieves and vagabonds
Interesting post BigRob its somehow nice to look back ..... and fascinating too.

I know but it does not have the microfiche newspapers.

I've worked in loads of old buildings so have found lots of old newspapers, the occasional letter or diary and some things of interest but I'm saying nothing about the hoard of gold soverigns.
On one job in Oxfordshire we found live rifle rounds which were distroyed by the army and one chap found a very nice pair of georgian silver spoons and then spotted something shinning down a corridor (under the floor obviously). The boards weren't due to come up but non the less he removed them carefully to reveal a French coin from the late sixties.
On some jobs all hoovered debris is bagged and labeled as to where it comes from and is then labouriously seived by a young archoligist to come up with pins buttons or whatever.
