Out of these 2 which would be best?

I prefer the first one for a few reasons, but I'm worried that there's nothing restraining the edge - so would the right adhesive glue it down forever?

It's moduleo layred click, 6mm with underlay so I'd remove the UL where it fits in or on the nosing.

The reason I favour the first one is because the stuff is big tiles (so one per step) rather than planks - so if I used the second type which I guess is designed for click, I don't think I would be able to get the front fully into that 8mm slot and the back tight against the riser?

I think? My options are to glue it down to the first type , or cut my tiles lengthways (so effectively making two tiles for each step) so I can fit the first section in the second type and then fit the second bit. If I do it this way it'll be better restrained so I'd have to have faith in an adhesive to do it the other way.

Thanks. I've got the nosing and the board fits nicely with a bit of underlay scraped off.

A few more questions if I may?

Do I need expansion gaps at the ends? The stairs are 750mm wide.

And what can I do with the bullnose? I think just square it up with a 45° chamfer.

No expansion needed mate. No drop on the trim though. Thats an end trim not a nosing.
Yes do 45s on the bullnose. Like a 50p.
